Fear the Cowboy turns tables in Evangeline Mile

Fear the Cowboy turned the tables on Great Minds in Saturday night’s $100,000 Evangeline Mile, when he held off that rival for a half-length victory in the marquee race at Evangeline Downs. The results reversed a March meeting of the horses, when Great Minds overtook Fear the Cowboy late to capture the $75,000 Borgata at Delta Downs.

The Evangeline Mile anchored a program of three stakes. Sir Genghis ($6.80) accounted for the off-the-turf Need For Speed and Extra Credit ($5.80) was a three-quarter length winner of the $70,000 Lafayette.
